About Me

Shadow
Raider
Hi!... And thank you for stopping by my "online scrapbook" of thoughts, crafts, and real life. My name is Cari. I love life. I've learned a lot. I am saved by grace. My heart yearns for the Lord and I'm challenged daily by His goodness, mercy, and love... I delight in laughter, sunsets, other people and cultures, marriage, Dr. Pepper, decorating, friendship, musicals, fashion, blonde jokes, GREEN, traveling, our dogs, coffee, tacky Christmas sweaters, music, Texas Tech, and chocolate chip cookies.

My career is teaching 4th graders! It truly does bring me joy. It's brought a lot of perspective into my little "boxed up" world and has given me the opportunity to invest in the lives of children and parents. My next career goal is to be a Licensed Professional Counselor. I'm currently a grad-student pursuing this as my second profession. I've become tremendously passionate about marriage and family and the restoration that can be found.

My husband, Tyler, is a quirky, hard-working, passionate, incredible man that makes me smile every day. I love our friendship and the life we share. He has a way of keeping our marriage interesting and bringing new ideas, traditions, and humor into our home. I'm amazed by his ability to see the big picture through my narrow-mindedness. His love for life and passion for people is contagious.

I absolutely LOVE being inspired. One of the main reasons for blogging is to write (obviously), but more than that, to inspire others. My greatest desire, through this blog, is to encourage and lead people to the hope I've found in knowing Christ... I do struggle. I'm anxious. I have a selfish heart. There have been countless times where I've been a complete mess. Through the chaos that comes with life, there have been some difficult, exhausting, and trying times. Through the brokenness... I've discovered faith, healing, love, forgiveness, and laughter. Spiritual warfare, at its finest, can enhance or ruin your life. I want people to experience peace in their hearts... a peace that is eternal.
